Job Purpose

The Senior Project Accountant will oversee all financial management, costing, and compliance operations for high\-end interior fit\-out projects and our dedicated joinery manufacturing workshop. The ideal candidate ensures accurate project budgeting, robust WIP tracking, seamless subcontractor variations handling, and strict compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Costing \& WIP Evaluation: Track, analyze, and manage end\-to\-end project costs. Conduct Work\-In\-Progress (WIP) valuations and provide regular cost\-to\-complete forecasts to senior management.

· Progress Billings \& Retention Management: Prepare and submit monthly progress billings, client valuations, and milestone invoices. Track accounts receivable aging and proactively manage project retention release terms.

· Joinery Workshop Inventory Control: Oversee material requisitions, factory raw material issues, and finished goods movement between the joinery factory and site locations.

· Subcontractor \& Supplier Accounting: Verify sub\-contractor payment applications, variations, performance bonds, and final settlements against physical work progress certifications.

· UAE Tax Compliance: Manage precise accounting, documentation, and filing for UAE Value Added Tax (VAT) and align financial records with UAE Corporate Tax regulations.

Core Requirements \& Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA/ACCA qualification is a distinct advantage).

· 3 to 5 years of dedicated accounting experience within the UAE Fit\-Out, Joinery, or Construction sectors.

· Advanced proficiency in construction\-applicable ERPs (e.g., Odoo, Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Focus, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

· In\-depth technical knowledge of FIDIC/construction contracts, retention guarantees, and variation orders.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge coordination gaps between project managers, factory foreman, and executive leadership.
