About the role

CCECC is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team for a major Dubai RTA roads and infrastructure project.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all contractual and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle, including contract administration, claims, variations, correspondence, subcontract management, cost control, and contractual risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of the main contract and subcontracts in accordance with project requirements.
  • Review and interpret contract conditions, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and other contractual documents.
  • Provide contractual advice and support to the Project Director, Project Manager, Commercial Team, Planning Team, and site management.
  • Identify potential contractual risks, claims, variations, and entitlement issues at an early stage.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contractual notices, claims, variation submissions, extension\-of\-time matters, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure contractual notices are submitted within the required timelines.
  • Coordinate with the planning team for preparation and substantiation of EOT and delay claims.
  • Review correspondence from the client, consultant, subcontractors, and other stakeholders and prepare appropriate contractual responses.
  • Manage and monitor variations, change orders, claims, and commercial settlements.
  • Support preparation and negotiation of subcontract agreements and major purchase orders.
  • Review subcontractor claims, variations, payment matters, and contractual submissions.
  • Maintain comprehensive records to support contractual entitlement and dispute avoidance.
  • Participate in commercial and contractual meetings with the Client, Consultant, subcontractors, and internal management.
  • Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors and commercial personnel regarding interim payments, variations, final accounts, and cost\-related matters.
  • Support dispute resolution, negotiation, and settlement of contractual issues.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable contract conditions, company procedures, and Dubai RTA project requirements.
  • Assist management with contractual strategy and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and mentor the contracts/commercial team where required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of overall experience in contracts/commercial management within the construction industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in major infrastructure, roads, bridges, or civil engineering projects preferred.
  • Previous experience on Dubai RTA projects is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience in FIDIC\-based contracts, claims, variations, EOT, and contractual correspondence.
  • Proven experience working for a main contractor on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, delay claims, commercial management, and dispute avoidance.
  • Ability to review complex contractual documents and provide practical contractual advice to project management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and report\-writing skills.
  • Experience dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government\-related infrastructure stakeholders.

Pay: AED20,000\.00 \- AED45,000\.00 per month
