Fit Out Construction Engineer

Overview

The Fit Out Construction Engineer will represent the Consultant on\-site and oversee the execution of interior fit\-out works across large\-scale mixed\-use developments and theme park projects. The role involves monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, maintaining quality standards, and supporting project delivery from construction through handover.

Your role

• Supervise and inspect fit\-out construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitor installation of architectural finishes, joinery, ceilings, flooring, partitions, themed elements, FF\&E, and specialty fit\-out works.
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and RFIs submitted by contractors.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and specialist vendors to resolve site issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare observation reports, NCRs, and snagging lists.
• Verify work progress and provide recommendations for contractor payment applications.
• Ensure quality assurance and quality control procedures are implemented throughout construction.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project schedules and approved construction methodologies.
• Witness testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, project specifications, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.
• Attend progress meetings and prepare technical reports for the Resident Engineer and Project Manager

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10\+ years of experience in construction and site supervision consultancy.
• Proven experience in mixed\-use developments, entertainment destinations, theme parks, hospitality, retail, and large\-scale commercial projects.
• Previous experience working with engineering consultancies on site supervision assignments.
• Strong knowledge of architectural finishes, fit\-out systems, themed construction, and FF\&E installations.
• Familiarity with international construction standards and Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience on major KSA giga projects, theme parks, entertainment venues, resorts, or mixed\-use developments.
• Background working with international consultancy firms.
• Experience overseeing multiple fit\-out packages within complex developments.
