Operational Safety \& Inspections

• Marine Equipment Oversight: Conduct regular safety inspections on marine vessels, barges, tugs, and specialized marine plants. \[1, 2]
• Permit\-to\-Work (PTW): Enforce strict control over the Permit\-to\-Work system, including lock\-out/tag\-out (LOTO), confined spaces, gas testing, and hot work over water. \[1]
• Life\-Saving Apparatus: Audit and maintain on\-vessel emergency gear, including life rafts, lifebuoys, fire suppression systems, and gas detectors. \[1, 2]
• High\-Risk Operations Monitoring: Oversee marine piling, rock placement, breakwater construction, and subsea/diving operations. \[1, 2]

2\. Risk Management \& Compliance

• Risk Assessments: Lead and validate Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Hazard Identification (HAZID) specifically for dynamic marine environments (e.g., SIMOPS, changing tides, and sea states). \[1, 2]
• Maritime Law Conformance: Ensure project compliance with international maritime codes such as SOLAS, MODU, and IMCA guidelines for diving safety. \[1]

3\. Environmental Protection

• Spill Prevention: Monitor and implement marine spill prevention and response plans (SOPEP) to handle oil, fuel, or chemical leaks into the water.
• Waste \& Turbidity Monitoring: Oversee marine waste segregation, disposal manifests, and ensure dredging operations conform to strict environmental turbidity barriers. \[1, 2]

4\. Training, Incident Management \& Reporting

• Drills \& Inductions: Organize and evaluate maritime emergency mock drills (e.g., man\-overboard, vessel abandonment, fire at sea, and oil spills).
• Toolbox Talks: Lead daily safety briefings focusing on specific marine hazards, including working over water and line\-of\-fire risks from mooring lines.
• Investigation \& Reporting: Lead root\-cause investigations for marine near\-misses or accidents and draft weekly/monthly site HSE performance reports. \[1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Pay: AED6,000\.00 \- AED7,000\.00 per month
