About the role
AirQ is looking for a Technical PMO to support the planning and delivery of advanced UAV/UAS production projects. This role is ideal for someone who can bring structure, governance, and strong coordination across engineering, manufacturing, and business teams. What you’ll be doing:
- Drive PMO governance, standards, and project frameworks across UAV programs
- Monitor timelines, budgets, risks, and ensure effective project execution
- Coordinate with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams
- Act as a key link between R\&D and manufacturing to support smooth production transitions
- Review engineering change requests (ECRs) and assess project impact
- Support integration of new UAV technologies (propulsion, avionics, autonomy) into workflows
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports for senior management
- Track resource utilization and support project capacity planning
- Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements using lean/agile principles
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (FAA, EASA, ISO, AS9100\)
- Maintain technical documentation and project records
What we’re looking for:
- 3\+ years of experience in PMO, technical project management, or engineering roles
- Background in UAV/UAS, aerospace, or defense manufacturing
- Strong experience with project tools such as JIRA, MS Project, or Smartsheet
- Knowledge of production lifecycle, supply chain, and quality processes
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast\-paced environment
Nice to have:
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- Experience with agile/scrum in hardware production environments
- Understanding of UAV systems, avionics, or composite manufacturing
- Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems such as Teamcenter or Windchill
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Experience with Power BI or advanced Excel reporting
