Jr. Procurement Officer

Role Overview

SPEC Oil \& Gas is looking for a proactive and detail\-oriented Junior Procurement Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support procurement activities for engineering, project, and operational requirements. The role involves sourcing materials and equipment, obtaining competitive quotations, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement of engineering materials, equipment, and services required for ongoing projects.
• Review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations from both commercial and technical perspectives.
• Prepare commercial comparison sheets and support vendor selection processes.
• Generate purchase orders and ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and complete.
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations, manufacturing status, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and document control systems.
• Support supplier qualification and performance evaluation activities.
• Monitor procurement schedules and report progress to management.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Assist in resolving supplier issues related to delivery, quality, and documentation.

Qualification \& Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain activities, preferably in the Oil \& Gas, EPC, Fabrication, or Manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with engineering materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
