Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant\-Construction

Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized Junior Construction Accountant to support our finance department. You will manage daily project costs, vendor invoices, and financial records. Your work directly impacts our project budgeting and profit margins. This entry\-level role reports directly to the \[Senior Construction Accountant / Finance Manager].

Also must have at least of 2 years of UAE experience in accounts department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Cost Tracking
• Track and code all project expenditures.
• Allocate costs to specific construction job phases.
• Assist with regular job costing analysis reports.
• Monitor discrepancies between budget and actual metrics. \[8, 9]
• Accounts Payable \& Receivable
• Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices.
• Ensure proper lien waivers accompany payment files.
• Process billings to clients using progress invoices.
• Track outstanding client payments for collection. \[10, 11]
• Financial Reporting \& Reconciliations
• Post journal entries to general ledgers.
• Perform monthly bank and corporate card reconciliations.
• Support month\-end and year\-end close\-out procedures.
• Compile paperwork for corporate tax and VAT filings.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
• Experience: 0 to 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction job costing methods is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with ERP software like \[Sage 100/300, QuickBooks, Zoho, or Tally] is highly regarded.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to data details and sharp numerical skills. \[9, 13, 14, 15]

Pay: AED2,500\.00 \- AED4,000\.00 per month
