Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in piping design, installation, inspection, and project execution. The candidate will be responsible for managing piping engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and coordinate piping layouts, drawings, and engineering documents.
- Review piping isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, and piping plans.
- Perform and review piping calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure drop, and related engineering requirements.
- Coordinate piping works with mechanical, civil, electrical, structural, and other disciplines.
- Supervise piping installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Review material specifications and technical submittals for piping materials, valves, fittings, and accessories.
- Monitor fabrication, installation, welding, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate hydrostatic testing, flushing, pressure testing, and inspection activities.
- Ensure piping systems comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, technical documents, and as\-built drawings.
- Ensure all piping works meet required quality, safety, and project schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in piping engineering and construction.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, valves, fittings, and installation methods.
- Good understanding of relevant piping codes and standards such as ASME/API.
- Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, P\&IDs, and engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with relevant piping design software is an advantage.
- Strong site coordination, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
