Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the company's day\-to\-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This role covers accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll support, VAT filing, and ensuring full compliance with UAE accounting standards and internal company policies, while also providing guidance and oversight to junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain accurate, up\-to\-date daily financial records and bookkeeping.
• Review and manage invoicing, payments, and accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage payroll processing, VAT filings, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
• Lead preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and summaries for management review, offering insights to support decision\-making.
• Supervise, guide, and review the work of junior accountants/accounting staff.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives as needed.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager, as required for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional certification such as CMA/ACCA/CPA is an advantage).
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in the UAE (mandatory).
• Prior experience working in the construction or interior fit\-out industry is required.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and problem\-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay: AED4,000\.00 \- AED6,000\.00 per month
