Architectural Engineer & Interior Designer

Job description

We are seeking a versatile and detail\-oriented Architectural Engineer \& Interior Designer to lead design development, spatial planning, and technical execution across residential and commercial projects. In this dual\-capacity role, you will bridge the gap between creative interior design concepts and rigorous architectural engineering. You will be responsible for translating space planning concepts into constructible architectural shop drawings, specifying materials and finishes, coordinating MEP/structural requirements, and supervising site implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1\. Architectural \& Interior Design Development

• Develop space planning concepts, interior layouts, structural facade elements, and architectural schemes aligned with client briefs.
• Create photorealistic 3D interior and exterior architectural visualizations, mood boards, and renderings using software such as Revit, Lumion, or 3ds Max.
• Design custom joinery, bespoke furniture, wall claddings, ceiling layouts, and feature lighting integration.

2\. Technical Engineering \& Documentation

• Produce comprehensive Architectural Drawing Packages, including detailed shop drawings, section details, DB/MEP cladding details, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and wall elevations.
• Ensure spatial layouts and technical specifications comply with building codes, fire safety codes (e.g., standard mounting heights for emergency devices from FFL), and accessibility regulations.
• Prepare complete interior finish schedules, material submittals, and technical specifications for flooring, cladding, lighting, and hardware.

3\. Site Coordination \& Engineering Execution

• Perform regular site inspections to ensure construction and interior fit\-outs strictly adhere to approved architectural drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate directly with structural, MEP, civil engineers, and joinery sub\-contractors to resolve technical clashes on site.
• Review contractor submittals, material samples, shop drawings, and Requests for Information (RFIs).

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Knowledge of local municipality building authority regulations and permit submittal standards.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices, energy\-efficient interior systems, and luxury architectural detailing.

Requirements \& Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Architecture/Design.
• Experience: 3–5\+ years of experience handling combined architectural design, interior fit\-out, and technical site coordination.
• Software Proficiency:
• CAD/BIM: Autodesk Revit (advanced modelling \& drawing extraction), AutoCAD.
• 3D Visualization: Lumion, 3ds Max, V\-Ray, or SketchUp.
• Design \& Specs: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), MS Office.
• Arabic Speaker is an advantage.

Pay: AED3,000\.00 \- AED5,000\.00 per month
