About the role
Job in Brief
Are you an experienced Draftsman (BIM) with a strong background in the Construction, Contracting, Aluminium, Glass or Façade industry?
Do you have a proven ability to deliver high\-quality projects, manufacturing, engineering or operational excellence while working with multidisciplinary teams?
Our client is a leading UAE\-based specialist in architectural aluminium, glass, façade engineering and metal fabrication solutions with a state\-of\-the\-art manufacturing facility delivering landmark projects across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings for aluminium, glass, curtain wall and façade systems.
Develop and maintain accurate BIM models in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure design coordination and constructability.
Coordinate with Design Engineers, Project Engineers, Production and Site teams to resolve drawing\-related issues.
Prepare material take\-offs, cutting lists and other fabrication documentation to support manufacturing activities.
Ensure all drawings comply with client specifications, project requirements and relevant industry standards.
Update and revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions and engineering changes.
Conduct clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines using BIM software to minimize design conflicts.
Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper version control of all project documentation.
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience as in the Construction, Contracting, Aluminium, Glass or Façade industry.
Strong knowledge of architectural aluminium systems, curtain wall, glazing, cladding and façade detailing.
Proficiency in BIM software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office. Experience with Navisworks is an added advantage.
Ability to prepare and review shop drawings, fabrication drawings, installation drawings and material take\-offs.
Experience working directly with project engineers, architects, and site supervisors to resolve drawing/model discrepancies.
