General Manager - Contracting

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead the overall operations of a growing contracting company in Dubai.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience within the UAE construction and contracting sector, with a proven track record in managing operations, projects, teams, clients, and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall day\-to\-day operations of the contracting company.
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company objectives and growth targets.
• Lead and manage project, commercial, technical, procurement, and operational teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to required quality standards.
• Monitor project profitability, budgets, costs, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development and revenue growth.
• Review contracts, project progress, variations, claims, and commercial matters.
• Establish and improve operational procedures, systems, and performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, contractual requirements, health \& safety, and company policies.
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports to senior management/ownership.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the management team to achieve company objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 10\+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience in a senior management or General Manager position.
• Strong experience in the UAE contracting/construction industry.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and departments.
• Strong understanding of project management, commercial management, contracts, procurement, and operations.
• Excellent leadership, decision\-making, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness with the ability to drive profitability.
• Established network and knowledge of the UAE construction market is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage business growth.
• UAE driving license is preferred.

Pay: AED15,000\.00 \- AED30,000\.00 per month
