About the role
Purpose:
The MEP Coordinator is responsible for the technical coordination, planning, supervision and integration of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) services with civil, structural and architectural works throughout the construction project. The position requires strong site\-based experience in UAE construction, multidisciplinary coordination, drawing review, BIM/clash detection, subcontractor coordination, authority requirements, testing \& commissioning, and project handover. The role should ensure that MEP works are properly coordinated, constructible, compliant with approved drawings and specifications, and completed within the project programme without clashes, rework or delays. Current UAE MEP Coordinator roles commonly emphasize multidisciplinary coordination, shop\-drawing review, clash detection, BIM/Revit/Navisworks, authority requirements and site execution.
Minimum Qualification \& Experience
Mandatory Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
· Minimum 8–10 years of total MEP experience.
· Minimum 8–10 years of UAE construction experience is compulsory.
· Strong experience with main contractors, MEP contractors or major construction projects.
· Proven experience coordinating HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting \& ELV systems.
· Experience in high\-rise, residential, mixed\-use or large\-scale building projects preferred.
· Strong experience in MEP shop drawing and multidisciplinary coordination.
· Hands\-on experience with clash detection and resolution.
· UAE authority coordination experience is essential.
· Candidates without substantial UAE construction experience shalll not be considered for this position.

Key Responsibility:
1\. A. MEP Coordination
Coordinate all MEP services with:

2\. Review MEP layouts and identify conflicts before site execution.
3\. Coordinate:
· Ceiling voids
· Riser shafts
· Plant rooms

· Equipment spaces
· Access and maintenance clearances.
4\. Ensure adequate space is provided for installation, operation and future maintenance of MEP equipment.
5\. Coordinate builders' work openings, sleeves, penetrations and block\-outs.
B. Drawing \& Technical Review
· Review IFC drawings.
· Review shop drawings.
· Review coordinated MEP drawings.
· Review architectural and structural drawings for MEP interfaces.
· Review RCPs and ceiling coordination drawings.
· Check equipment layouts.
· Review MEP specifications.
· Review material submittals.
· Review method statements.
