Planning Engineer Civil Construction Background Only

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and update construction schedules, ensuring projects are completed within the approved timeline and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed baseline programmes using Primavera P6\.
• Develop work breakdown structures, project timelines, and resource\-loaded schedules.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the approved programme.
• Prepare look\-ahead schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Identify critical activities, project risks, and potential delays.
• Conduct delay analysis and recommend corrective or recovery measures.
• Update schedules based on actual site progress.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, and subcontractors.
• Monitor material submissions, approvals, procurement, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare manpower and equipment histograms and progress S\-curves.
• Review subcontractors’ programmes and ensure alignment with the main schedule.
• Assist in preparing extension\-of\-time claims and supporting documentation.
• Participate in progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• Maintain complete and accurate planning records.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the same field, including relevant UAE construction experience.
• Strong experience in building, civil, or fit\-out construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and reporting tools is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and resource planning.
• Proven experience in baseline preparation, schedule updates, delay analysis, and recovery programmes.
• Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Immediate joiners will be preferred.

Pay: AED18,000\.00 \- AED20,000\.00 per month
