Project Engineer – High\-Rise Buildings

The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and supervising engineering and construction activities for high\-rise building projects, ensuring that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

The role requires close coordination with the Project Manager, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all engineering activities across the project, ensuring all works are properly planned, resourced, and executed in accordance with the project programme, approved designs, and company standards.
• Review and interpret all drawings, specifications, and technical documents, ensuring the site team has a clear and accurate understanding of design intent and construction requirements before and during execution.
• Ensure all works are executed in full accordance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards, proactively identifying and resolving any deviations or non–conformities before they impact project delivery.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring clear and timely communication of technical requirements, progress updates, and any issues requiring resolution across all project interfaces.
• Manage and track project progress against approved schedules and milestones, identifying delays or bottlenecks early and implementing corrective actions to maintain programme adherence and protect delivery commitments.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site teams, resolving engineering queries and issues in a timely and effective manner to ensure uninterrupted progress and consistency in the application of design and construction standards across all site activities.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, ensuring all submissions are technically compliant, accurately reviewed, and formally approved before works proceed on–site.

High\-Rise Construction Experience

The candidate should have practical experience with some or all of the following:

• Reinforced concrete high\-rise structures
• Deep foundations, piling, raft foundations, and basement construction
• Columns, shear walls, core walls, slabs, beams, and transfer structures
• Formwork systems and repetitive floor\-cycle construction
• Tower crane and material hoist coordination
• Concrete pouring and quality control
• Façade and curtain\-wall coordination
• Architectural and finishing works
• MEP coordination and builder's work requirements
• BIM/model coordination and clash resolution
• Vertical transportation and specialist systems coordination
• High\-rise construction logistics and site planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Typically 5–8 years of relevant construction experience, preferably including high\-rise building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and engineering practices.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: AED10,000\.00 \- AED12,000\.00 per month
