Joinery Production Manager

We are looking for an experienced Joinery / Carpentry Manager to take overall responsibility for joinery production, workshop operations and installation across the company's projects in the UAE. The role requires someone with strong technical and operational knowledge of custom joinery and carpentry, who can manage the complete process from approved drawings and material procurement through manufacturing, quality control, delivery and site installation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the workshop operates efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship, programme and quality across all projects.

Roles \& Responsibilities :

• Oversee the day\-to\-day operations of the joinery and carpentry workshop.
• Plan and coordinate production schedules in line with project programmes and site requirements.
• Review approved shop drawings, specifications, material schedules and project requirements before production.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, designers, procurement teams and site teams.
• Manage workshop supervisors, carpenters, joiners, machine operators and other production staff.
• Allocate manpower, machinery and workshop resources according to production requirements.
• Monitor production progress and ensure joinery is completed within agreed programmes.
• Oversee procurement and availability of timber, veneers, laminates, hardware, finishes and other joinery materials.
• Ensure all manufactured items meet approved drawings, specifications, samples and required quality standards.
• Establish and maintain quality\-control procedures throughout the production process. Inspect completed joinery before dispatch to site and ensure defects are rectified before delivery.
• Coordinate transportation, delivery and installation of joinery at project sites.
• Oversee installation teams and ensure correct installation, finishing and snagging. Work with site teams to resolve technical, dimensional and installation issues.
• Monitor material wastage, production efficiency and workshop costs. Identify opportunities to improve production methods, workflow and overall workshop efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors where specialist manufacturing or finishing is required.
• Ensure workshop machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and safely operated.
• Ensure compliance with relevant HSE requirements and company procedures. Monitor project\-specific deadlines and proactively flag production risks or potential delays.
• Support project teams with technical input, buildability reviews and value\-engineering opportunities.
• Maintain strong communication between the workshop and project/site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on production status, manpower requirements, quality issues and potential delays.
• QUALIFICATIONS :
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in joinery, interior fit\-out, or furniture manufacturing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Project Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of joinery production, installation, and project execution.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• GCC/Middle East experience is preferred.
• Valid driving licence is an added advantage.
