Logistics Manager (Vehicle/Heavy Equipment Machinery)

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Logistics Manager to manage the logistics and movement of Vehicle/ heavy equipment machinery across our civil construction projects in the UAE.

The ideal candidate should have 10–15 years of relevant UAE experience, with strong hands\-on experience in managing heavy machinery, construction equipment, transportation, mobilization/demobilization, fleet utilization, and project\-site logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete logistics operation for heavy equipment and construction machinery.
• Plan and coordinate the mobilization, demobilization, transportation, and relocation of heavy equipment between project sites.
• Manage logistics for equipment such as excavators, loaders, graders, bulldozers, cranes, rollers, forklifts, dump trucks, batching plants, and other construction machinery.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Plant/Equipment Managers, Site Teams, Procurement, and Transporters regarding equipment requirements.
• Plan equipment allocation based on project requirements and construction schedules.
• Optimize equipment utilization, availability, and movement between projects.
• Arrange suitable low\-bed trailers, heavy\-haulage vehicles, cranes, and other transportation resources.
• Coordinate transportation permits and requirements for oversized and heavy equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, locations, transfers, and transportation documentation.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Coordinate with equipment maintenance teams to ensure machinery is available and ready for mobilization.
• Monitor equipment delivery and ensure safe loading, transportation, unloading, and positioning at project sites.
• Manage relationships with heavy transport companies, equipment suppliers, and logistics service providers.
• Ensure all transportation and equipment movement activities comply with UAE traffic, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams to minimize equipment downtime and unnecessary transportation.
• Prepare regular reports on equipment movement, utilization, transportation costs, and logistics performance.
• Lead and manage the logistics team and ensure efficient execution of all activities.
• Ensure strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of relevant experience, preferably with civil construction contractors.
• Strong UAE experience in heavy equipment and construction machinery logistics.
• Proven experience managing heavy haulage, low\-bed transportation, equipment mobilization/demobilization, and inter\-project transfers.
• Good knowledge of UAE roads, transportation requirements, permits, and logistics service providers.
• Strong understanding of construction equipment and machinery.
• Experience coordinating with plant/equipment departments and multiple project sites.
• Strong planning, coordination, negotiation, and problem\-solving skills.
• Excellent vendor and transporter management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple urgent logistics requirements.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and relevant ERP/logistics systems.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
