Project Planning Engineer

We are hiring a Project Planning Engineer to take ownership of scheduling and progress control for a specific construction/infrastructure project in the UAE. Project Planning Engineer Job Responsibilities

• Develop and issue the project master schedule using Primavera P6
• Break down project scope into detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and activity\-level plans
• Track progress against baseline; issue weekly/monthly schedule updates
• Identify critical path changes, delays, and schedule risks; escalate to project management
• Prepare progress reports, S\-curves, and manpower histograms for internal and client review
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, procurement, and QA/QC for accurate progress data
• Prepare 2\-week/4\-week look\-ahead schedules for site execution teams
• Support resource loading, cost loading, and productivity tracking
• Liaise with client/consultant planning teams on schedule submissions and approvals
• Assess schedule impact of variations and change orders

Project Planning Engineer Requirements \& Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 3–6 years of experience as a Project Planning Engineer / Planning Engineer / Scheduling Engineer
• Strong hands\-on expertise in Primavera P6 (essential); MS Project familiarity a plus
• Solid understanding of WBS development, CPM scheduling, and progress monitoring
• Advanced MS Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and data analysis
• Experience presenting schedule status in project review meetings

Preferred:

• UAE or GCC project experience
• Exposure to EOT (Extension of Time) and basic delay analysis
• PMP or working toward certification
• Familiarity with project controls/ERP tools
